The Clubhouse was originally constructed with a donation to Baseballs account with the Torrey Pines High School Foundation by the Jacobs Family in 2006…..(more to come)
Carpeting was donated to the program in 2009 and the clubhouse was promptly flooded that winter. Lucky for the program the same donor stepped up again and replaced the carpeting in 2010.
Most recently the entire facility was painted by volunteers during the winter of 2014.

The Batting Stations in the home bull-pen were installed during the summer of 2012 and now allow 7 hitters to be working off of tees while two pitchers throw their bull-pens.

The Visitors Bull-Pen was reconstructed by volunteers during the winter of 2009. At that time its orientation was reconfigured from north-south to south-throwing-north and the entire pen was moved 90' south to the outfield fence.

Hours and hours of tedious work, have turned the TP baseball facilities into a beautiful field. Lots of love, care and expertise. How many miles has Coach Sienko (and others) walked to groom this masterpiece?

328 Hybrid Bermuda Infield installation took place prior to the Spring 2013 season. The turf was grown by West Cost Turf in the Coachella Valley and installed under the supervision of the San Diego Padres Head Groundskeeper Luke Yoder. We used Ron Barendt from Laser Turf to come in and help amend, till, and laser grade.

30 tons of Gail Materials Premium Infield mix was added to the existing infield and laser leveled in 2007, 2009, 2011 and most recently for the Spring 2013 season. At that time the newly installed infield bermuda grass was also laser leveled to match the skin.
Sound system installed Winter of 2007…...
TPHS Baseball Boosters installed 75 tons of warning track in the Fall of 2010 to make tracking down fly balls that much safer.

In April 2010, after several requests a project funded by the SDHS District, with the assistance of Torrey Pines Athletic Director Chas Doerrer, we no longer have to pull the tennis balls out of the netting as it has been replaced by heavy duty fencing….. "TENNIS!"

Yes, we even get excited about the necessities in life. This humble cam ode was a welcome addition and was paid for by a parent until the District finally took over the lease.

New Batters and Catching Boxes were installed for the first time in a decade for the 2009 season. This area has been significantly renovated, repaired and restored each season since by the TPHS Players and Parents.

First installed of the 2011 spring season this dugout netting and padding has not only saved several from being hit by foul balls but, has also saved additional bases as the ball remains in the field of play rather than going out of play and allowing runners to move up.

Installed for the spring 2014 season the new bat and helmet storage cabinet is modeled after those used at the collegiate level.

A pad was added to the back stop for the 2014 season for safety reasons and to reduce the number of passed-balls and wild pitches ricocheting directly back to the catcher.
